BuddyLearn

Our story

Kids first. Always.

BuddyLearn started with one question: why does so much “educational” screen time feel like it is selling to kids instead of teaching them? We built the opposite.

How we started

Three teachers, a bear costume, and a very slow Tuesday.

In 2019 a kindergarten teacher, a children's book illustrator and a software engineer sat in a school library trying to work out why every learning app they tried felt like it was built for advertisers rather than for kids.

So they sketched a bear. Then a fox. Then a whole cast of buddies who could walk a kid through a lesson the way a great teacher does — patient, silly, and never in a rush.

BuddyLearn is still built that way: teachers first, engineers second, and never by anyone trying to maximise time-on-app.

What we stand for

Four things we will not compromise on.

Safety first

COPPA-compliant, no third-party ad trackers, and no chat with strangers. Ever.

Curiosity over scores

We measure delight and understanding, not just streaks and leaderboards.

Playful rigour

Every lesson is written with a real curriculum lead before it ever meets a mascot.

Family first

Parents get visibility and control. This is a tool for your household, not around it.
